Real Estate Tips: San Diego's Short Term Rental Update
/ Morgan KingAs of this past Monday, July 16, 2018, the City of San Diego passed a law that changes how short term rentals are managed. This new law will not go into effect until July 2019, however, it is expected to hit over 80% of the estimated 11,000 short term rentals in San Diego. The changes also removed the exception for the Mission Beach area, in which over 44% of homes are estimated to be short term rentals, which is a long part of that areas culture and history.
