The Buyer's Guide: Home Search Online vs. In Person

One of the many epiphany's I had that lead me to pursue my real estate career was the fact that I would review daily the latest market listings online ... for fun. Hello, how did it take me so long to figure out my calling? More on that here.

Anyway, today anyone has the ability to access the majority of local listings online, complete with a ton of additional information (historical pricing, HOA fees, sq. footage, neighborhood, etc.). Even with all of this available at your finger tips, there is nothing that can take the place of an in-person walk through. With such an investment on the line, it seems crazy that we've become okay with just searching through the black hole of the internet and thus disregard properties that maybe don't meet 100% of the mark or even worse, get excited about misrepresented homes once visited in person.

With all this said, I want to share with you the benefits of looking at homes online vs. in person through an easy to understand info-graphic. Make sure you keep this information top of mind when you're on the search for your dream home to ensure that your expectation meets reality.
