Check out the 'About' section if you'd like to get to know me a little bit better, but beyond my quick bio, I wanted to share with you why I chose to start Morgan King Real Estate Group and pursue my real estate career as a third generation agent, somewhat later on in life. Writing it out allows me to emphasize the level of importance I put on being given this incredible opportunity. So without further ado ...

I was lucky to have grown up in an entrepreneurial family, where my grandfather, (James, pictured) who was a real estate agent, turned science teacher, who ultimately took a chance and bought a campground in rural Wisconsin, was my inspiration. This campground, Camp Brigadoon, has since grown into a seasonal summer getaway for over 120 families, that now my Dad runs and operates. It was working here, earning paychecks earlier than most in life, (started working at 12 ... yes, that might be against child labor laws;) where I began to learn the value of hard work at a very early age. Having been around this spirit to take risks and make life happen, I myself have always had a deep desire to someday own my own business. Me and my sister Jamie would spend a large majority of our 20's brainstorming to try and figure out what our independent businesses would be. I knew that if I took the leap on any venture, it had to be something that even through the toughest of times, I would be able to maintain passion and drive to pursue.

After completing my cosmetology degree at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, I realized the value of building relationships and the deep satisfaction that came to me from helping people, in this case, look and feel their very best. It was this feeling that I since searched for as I continued to grow in my career. Fast forward over a decade to several opportunities that led me to work on some incredible projects that yielded beyond expected results (Sephora Beauty Insider Program, Launch of the Sephora Collection Eye Shadows, Rodan + Fields #RFGoNaked Day 2017 Campaign) and I realized that my desire to help positively impact other peoples lives wasn't going to go away. I also knew that I never wanted to give anyone but me the power to define what success looks like for myself and for my life.

Real estate truly provides a tremendous opportunity, allowing me to help others through one of the biggest decisions of their lives, which is why I left behind a comfortable six figure income to pursue. I know it is a very saturated industry, yet I also know I can offer a difference to my clients by applying the expertise and professionalism I had gained in my marketing career. The skill set required to be a successful agent encompasses a majority of my strengths and my interests. I am self-motivated, energetic, very detail oriented, organized, passionate about home design, love strategic partnerships, enjoy researching what's new about neighborhood's, all that with honesty, integrity and as loyal as they come, this for me is nothing short of a match made in heaven.
