MK Life Tips: Small Businesses To Support You :)
/With all that is going on in our current environment, I’m sure you’ve seen the “support small business'“ sentiments multiple times over the past few weeks. This is so incredibly important during this time, and I’m sure you’ve thought to yourself, “but I can’t spend money in a time of such vulnerability and uncertainty.” I want to be the voice of reason and say, yes you can! Even if you think it isn’t enough, spend whatever it is you can, or at the very least, promote the small business through your network in case someone you know has the means to do so. We need to come together and help each other as best we can during this time. The benefits? You will for sure feel a burst of positive vibes yourself connecting you closer to your community and others, which is a serious bonus that we need right now. Also, it will help business owners feel supported and perhaps hopeful for the future. To get you started, checkout my favorite small businesses that you can support, but they can also support you :)
The Loaf Bar
If you’re anything like me, a delicious baked good can seriously warm up my soul, but I don’t necessarily want a full loaf of banana bread lying around. Reason being, is I will likely eat the entire thing within just a few hours, especially when I’m stuck at home contemplating said banana bread ;). To give you that cozy and inviting feeling without adding too much to your waistline, visit The Loaf Bar where Lucy Dugger, Owner & Chief Baker, brings to you delicious mini loaves freshly baked that give you the fix you’re looking for, shipped right to your front door. Based out of San Diego, she sources only the best ingredients and partners with local farms when possible, creating flavors like fresh lemon, coconut, and strawberry champagne. Gluten free? No problem, they offer gluten free options as well.

No, this is not too good to be true :). My dear friend and founder of JC Select Wines, a high-end corporate and private event Wine Concierge Service, Jennifer Carruthers (Jenn), is on a mission to bridge a gap that exists between the overwhelming access to common wines and those little gems that are only discovered upon personal introduction. As a self-proclaimed "Life-Enthusiast" and Civil Engineer turned Sommelier, Jenn specializes in custom wine orders and has an exclusive online boutique wine shop built to serve the modern-day wine enthusiast. Jenn also founded Great Pour Decisions™️, a lifestyle and wine accessories brand. She's currently pioneering the world of Virtual Wine Events to support the industry while it navigates recent events affecting the global wine industry.
